About the event
This week I'll have the piano open (all covers removed) so we can see inside and learn how the piano's magnificent mechanics work to allow us to create beautiful music. We'll see how a piano is tuned, how it comes apart, and why subtle differences in touch can make profound differences in sound. You'll be able to watch the action perform as I play a piece that makes the hammers fly!
